Official: Gabala summit underscores rising global role of OTS
The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has solidified its position as a significant player in international affairs, according to Omer Kocaman, the organisation’s Deputy Secretary-General.
Speaking at the 18th meeting of the OTS Council of Elders in Baku, Kocaman noted that the outcomes of the recent Gabala Summit demonstrate the organisation’s growing influence and visibility on the global stage, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He noted that the decisions adopted by the OTS and its activities are now being closely monitored by the international community.
Kocaman also drew attention to the organisation’s ongoing efforts to develop a common Turkic alphabet, describing it as a milestone initiative aimed at deepening cultural ties and fostering unity among member states.
The Organization of Turkic States, which includes Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan as full members, has increasingly expanded its scope of cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields.
