Official: Iran capable of producing atomic bomb

Chairman of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi has said that Iran has the technical capabilities to produce an atomic bomb, but the country's leadership has not made a decision on this issue.

 “Iran was able to increase the uranium enrichment level from 20 per cent to 60 per cent within a few days,” TASS reports referring to Kharrazi.

“Moreover, Iran can easily increase this level to 90 per cent,” Kharrazi was quoted by the Qatari Al Jazeera TV channel as saying.
