Official: Western Azerbaijan Community sends over hundred letters to international groups

The Community of Western Azerbaijan (CWA) sent 119 letters to international organisations this year, CWA Chairman and Milli Majlis (Parliament) Deputy Aziz Alakbarli said at the “Continuation of the Great Way” conference held at Baku State University.

Alakbarli noted that the letters received responses and produced tangible results. He stated that during the year, 11 CWA documents were circulated in various languages as official documents of the UN General Assembly and the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

According to him, the community also issued 35 statements over the same period, focusing on Armenia’s actions and on steps taken by several international organisations that were contrary to Azerbaijan’s interests.

He added that the community held 78 meetings with foreign representatives throughout the year.
