Organisation of Turkic States, TURKPA congratulate Azerbaijani diplomats on professional holiday
The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has congratulated the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan and all employees of diplomatic missions on their professional holiday.
"We sincerely congratulate all employees of the diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and diplomatic missions and wish them further success," Report quotes OTS as saying on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) has also congratulated the staff of Azerbaijan's diplomatic services on their professional holiday, tweeting: "July 9 - happy professional holiday for the officers of the diplomatic service of the Republic of Azerbaijan!"
July 9 marks Diplomacy Day in Azerbaijan. The history of Azerbaijani diplomacy officially begins on July 9, 1919.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) was appointed in 1918, but the official founding document was signed only in 1919.
After declaring its independence on October 18, 1991, Azerbaijan was recognized by the nations of the world and the UN.
By the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated August 24, 2007, the professional holiday for employees of diplomatic service bodies of Azerbaijan was established.
