Organizing Committee holds 3rd meeting for COP29 preparations

The Organizing Committee for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change convened for its 3rd meeting.

Led by Azerbaijani officials, the meeting served as a pivotal moment in the ongoing preparations for the upcoming climate conference, AZERTAC reports.

Chaired by Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, the meeting saw the participation of key figures including Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and President of COP29, as well as Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan. Additionally, Teymur Musayev, Minister of Health, Sevinj Fataliyeva, Member of Parliament, Habib Mikayilli, Deputy Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration and Head of the Secretariat of the COP29 Organizing Committee, and Yalchin Rafiyev, Deputy Foreign Minister and COP29 Lead Negotiator, were among those who addressed the meeting.
