OTS chief says strengthening ties among Turkic peoples top priority
Strengthening ties among Turkic peoples and expanding cooperation are among the most important priorities of our work, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), has stated.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Turkic World Week marking the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress, he said relations among the Turkic states are currently at their strongest level, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Omuraliev noted that the the ideas expressed at the Turkology Congress 100 years ago remain relevant today.
“Strengthening ties among our peoples, expanding cooperation and preserving our shared values are among the most important priorities of our work. The foundation of this unity is the political will of the Turkic states," he added.
He further stressed that the Turkic states and peoples continue to deepen scientific, cultural and humanitarian cooperation across the Turkic world, drawing inspiration from those ideas.
