OTS NGO forum brings eight countries together in Baku
Baku is hosting the 2nd Forum of Solidarity of Non-Governmental Organizations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) as part of the broader Baku Urban Planning Week.
The event is organized by Azerbaijan’s Agency for State Support to NGOs in partnership with the NGO Platform of OTS member countries, according to domestic media.
The forum brings together civil society representatives from eight countries: Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Northern Cyprus, and Hungary, reflecting the expanding scope of cooperation among participating states.
The inaugural Solidarity Forum took place in November 2025 in Baku and Nakhchivan. During that gathering, the NGO Platform of OTS member countries was formally established. In its capacity as the current chair of the OTS, Azerbaijan assumed leadership of the platform.
Within the framework of the second forum, new formats of engagement are being introduced. For the first time, dedicated cooperation forums between NGOs of Azerbaijan and their counterparts from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Northern Cyprus are scheduled to be held.
