Over 3,500 evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan since late February
A total of 3,546 people have been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan since February 28, with citizens from dozens of countries included in the evacuation effort.
Among those evacuated, 620 are Azerbaijani citizens. The remaining evacuees include nationals from a wide range of countries, including China (738), Russia (384), India (294), Bangladesh (198), Tajikistan (195), Pakistan (152), and Iran (137), as well as smaller groups from countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Evacuees also include citizens from Indonesia, Oman, Algeria, Italy, Germany, Canada, Spain, France, Kazakhstan, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, and numerous other states, with some countries reporting only one or a few nationals among those evacuated.
