More than 30,000 participants from 178 countries have registered to attend the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Eldar Rasulov, Media Relations Manager for the WUF13 Operating Company announced.
“Only a few days remain until the World Urban Forum session, which will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22. According to current statistics, more than 30,000 participants from 178 countries have registered for WUF13. WUF13 Festivals are being organized to inform a wider audience about this event,” he said, adding that the festival program consists of two parts, as per local media.
According to Rasulov, the first part includes informational sessions on WUF13 held in the morning at educational institutions and universities in the festival locations.
“In the evening, an open-air public program takes place. This is an educational and entertainment program: through interactive questions, participants are provided with detailed information about the main themes of WUF13 and the urban development agenda. I should note that around 80,000 people have already participated in the festivals held so far,” he added.
These festivals were held on April 30 in Guba, May 2 in Lankaran, May 4 in Gabala, May 5 in Sheki, May 6 in Mingachevir, May 8 in Ganja, and May 10 in Khankendi. The event will take place in Sumgayit on May 12 and in Baku on May 13.
