PACE's latest provocation reveals institution's Islamophobic sentiment Statement by Western Azerbaijan Community

Western Azerbaijan Community said in a statement that the recent provocation against Azerbaijan in the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly has again revealed Islamophobic sentiments in this structure.

"We were convinced of this when we received no reply to the letter we sent to the PACE co-rapporteurs on Armenia on  March 1 last year, calling on them to address the issue of our right of return," the statement reads, according to Caliber.Az.

"And the fact that Armenian MPs support the anti-Azerbaijani PACE resolution shows the insincerity of Yerevan when it talks about peace. On the one hand, they talk about a peace treaty, but on the other hand, they are once again participating in a smear campaign against Azerbaijan, as they did in the summer of 2023," the statement said.
