Pakistan, Azerbaijan to sign historic gas deal

Pakistan and Azerbaijan will sign a historic agreement on liquefied natural gas (LNG) on July 24.

Report informs citing Pakistani media that Oil Minister Musadik Malik said in Karachi.

Pakistan will buy liquefied gas from Azerbaijan on a monthly basis, he said, adding that 12 LNG tankers will be purchased from Azerbaijan.

Earlier, the Pakistani minister said that the agreement with Azerbaijan would help eliminate the problem of gas shortages in the country during the winter season.
