Pakistan envoy: Russia-Azerbaijan-Armenia ties hold strategic importance for Islamabad

Pakistan's Ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has said that the relationship between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia is of importance to Islamabad, highlighting the region's growing significance for Pakistan's foreign policy.

Speaking in an interview with Russian media, Tirmizi said Pakistan has longstanding historical links with the Caucasus and sees considerable potential for broader regional engagement.

"Historically, there has been a strong connection between the Caucasus region and Pakistan. I see significant prospects for cooperation between Pakistan, Armenia and the wider Caucasus region," the ambassador said.

Tirmizi also welcomed the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Armenia.
