Pakistan expresses concern over Iran's drone attack on Azerbaijan in ministers’ call
Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the recent drone attack on Azerbaijan during a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
On March 5, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the conversation, the Pakistani side conveyed its deep concern over the drone attack carried out against the Republic of Azerbaijan and stressed that such actions, which could lead to broader regional escalation, are unacceptable.
Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan expects Iran to clarify the incident in the near future and provide an appropriate explanation.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
