Pakistan’s PM embarks on urgent diplomatic mission to Baku, Ankara, Tehran
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to undertake a whirlwind diplomatic tour of Iran, Azerbaijan and Türkiye next week, government sources in Islamabad have confirmed.
The visit is being described as urgent, with the Pakistani leader expected to hold high-level talks with officials in all three capitals, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to sources, Sharif intends to personally thank the governments of these countries for their support during Pakistan’s recent standoff with India.
Beyond expressions of gratitude, the meetings will reportedly cover a range of pressing regional and global issues.
While no official agenda has been released, observers suggest discussions may touch upon security cooperation, economic ties, and evolving geopolitical dynamics in South Asia and the broader region.
