Pakistan’s Trade Minister: Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Baku opens door to new horizons
Pakistan's Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan has stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's upcoming visit to Azerbaijan is set to pave the way for new opportunities for bilateral cooperation and mutual growth.
In an exclusive interview with Pakistani radio, Khan highlighted the Prime Minister's strong interest in enhancing ties with Azerbaijan across various sectors, with the aim of fostering a robust and dynamic partnership between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports.
The Minister also noted the arrival of a dedicated Pakistani team in Azerbaijan ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, emphasising the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for business and investment.
Khan pointed out that the two nations are poised to collaborate in areas such as Information Technology and Agriculture, which will benefit both sides.
He added that Pakistan's focus on international trade diplomacy forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen its economy and promote sustainable economic growth.
To recap, a state visit by Pakistan's Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, to Azerbaijan was marked by an official welcome ceremony in Baku.
The ceremony included a guard of honour, with the national flags of both Azerbaijan and Pakistan displayed prominently. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev personally greeted Prime Minister Sharif, while the chief of the guard presented a formal report.
Both countries' national anthems were played as the guard marched before the leaders, followed by a photo session to commemorate the visit.
