Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif receives warm welcome in Azerbaijan

An official welcome ceremony took place in Baku for Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who arrived in Azerbaijan for a state visit.

The ceremony featured a guard of honor in a square adorned with the national flags of both Azerbaijan and Pakistan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev personally welcomed Prime Minister Sharif upon his arrival. The chief of the guard of honor presented a formal report to the visiting Pakistani leader.

The national anthems of both countries were played as the guard of honor marched before President Aliyev and Prime Minister Sharif, accompanied by a military march.

The two leaders then posed for official photographs to mark the occasion.
