Pakistani PM reflects on successful Azerbaijan visit, eyes expanded cooperation
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is leading a crucial review meeting to evaluate the results of his recent state visit to Azerbaijan, a visit that aimed to deepen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting is being held with senior government members to assess the outcomes of the two-day visit, Caliber.Az reports.
A publication shared on the official Facebook page of the Pakistani government accompanied by video footage from the meeting confirms the discussions.
"Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is holding a review meeting on the results of his recent visit to Azerbaijan," the statement reads.
During his visit on February 24-25, Sharif signed five key documents aimed at bolstering cooperation between the two nations. These agreements focus on areas including oil trade, the exchange of liquefied natural gas and oil products, as well as fostering closer ties between the cities of Nakhchivan and Lahore. Additionally, the visit saw the signing of agreements on customs cooperation, agriculture, ecology, and education — further cementing the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Sharif’s visit comes as both countries look to expand their diplomatic, economic, and cultural exchanges, paving the way for more collaborative ventures in the coming years.
