Pakistani PM’s upcoming visit to Azerbaijan to strengthen bilateral ties
Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has said that Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will visit Azerbaijan in two days.
Recalling that last year, the Azerbaijani president visited Pakistan, the Senate chairman told journalists that the close cooperation between the two countries is observed in various sectors, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Earlier, officials from Azerbaijan and Pakistan discussed cooperation in various sectors at the 8th session of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission. A protocol was signed in Islamabad following the session. Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev, Pakistan's Minister of Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and other officials attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on cooperation in various sectors, including defence industry, technologies, transportation, education, healthcare, etc. Both sides agreed to hold the next, 9th meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Baku.
