Chairman of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova met with the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmush, Report informs.

"The excellent friendly and brotherly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan are based on the common historical, linguistic, religious, national and spiritual values of our peoples. Today, thanks to the personal friendship and brotherhood of our heads of state, political will and determination, these relations are developing comprehensively in all spheres on the basis of the principle of 'One Nation, Two States' and have reached their highest level - the level of alliance," she said.

She emphasised that the Shusha Declaration signed two years ago raised Azerbaijani-Turkish relations to a completely new level.

The Milli Majlis Speaker noted that Azerbaijan and Türkiye demonstrate solidarity, and mutual support in all issues, and are next to each other both on joyful and sad days.

Numan Kurtulmush expressed satisfaction with the current high level of relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that Sahiba Ghafarova's visit would also contribute to the strengthening of relations.
