Participants of conference on geopolitics and security of Middle Corridor visit Aghdam
Participants of the conference entitled "Along the Middle Corridor: geopolitics, security, and economy", which began on November 25 with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, visited the town of Aghdam, completely obliterated for almost 30 years of occupation by Armenia.
According to Report, experts from Türkiye, Georgia, Pakistan, the US, Poland, Italy, and other countries observed the destruction and familiarized themselves with the progress of the reconstruction of the city.
They saw with their own eyes the destruction to which the city and the entire region had been subjected, traces of Armenian occupation and vandalism on Azerbaijani lands, including what remains of the Aghdam Drama Theatre and Museum of Bread, once the only one in the USSR, "Imaret", the residence and tomb of Karabakh Panah Ali Khan and his family members.
The programme also includes a visit to the "Shahbulag" fortress, the Juma Mosque, and the Alley of Martyrs of Aghdam, also practically destroyed.
