“Peace Bridge”: Roundtable of Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives continues video
On February 14, the roundtable involving civil society representatives from Azerbaijan and Armenia continued under the framework of the “Peace Bridge” initiative, Caliber.Az reported.
The discussions follow the launch of a bilateral roundtable on February 13 in Armenia, also under the "Peace Bridge" initiative. The event brings together representatives from the civil societies of both countries, and in addition to the core participants of the initiative, a broader group of experts, analysts, media professionals, and civil society actors from Azerbaijan and Armenia are taking part.
In a significant development on February 13, the Azerbaijani delegation entered Armenia via a delimited and demarcated land border, completing all necessary procedures. This step is seen as a practical measure to strengthen trust between the two countries and to reinforce the fragile but steadily advancing normalisation process.
The roundtable discussions are designed to address processes stemming from the peace agenda endorsed at the Washington Summit on August 8, 2025. Dedicated sessions are scheduled to examine the emerging regional security framework, the tangible benefits of peace, public perceptions of intersocietal relations, prospects for economic cooperation, and the role of civil society in fostering mutual understanding and confidence-building.
