Persons on Azerbaijan's international wanted list among detainees in Türkiye VIDEO
Turkish law enforcement agencies have detained 56 people declared internationally wanted by 18 countries, including Azerbaijan.
Caliber.Az reports that Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made the announcement on the detention on X (formerly Twitter).
According to him, operations were carried out on the morning of January 3 in 11 cities in Türkiye, including Istanbul and Antalya.
A total of 56 people wanted by the US, Germany, Azerbaijan, UAE, Belarus, Morocco, Palestine, India, Israel, Iran, Israel, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan and Jordan under Interpol were detained.
Yerlikaya stressed that the detainees were wanted on charges of money laundering, corruption, human trafficking, theft, fraud and others.
