PM: Italy aims to consolidate cooperation on energy, security with Azerbaijan
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Azerbaijan following her official visit to Baku on May 4.
In a post on X, Meloni emphasised the long-term importance of bilateral relations, particularly in key sectors such as energy, security, connectivity, investment, and political dialogue, Caliber.Az reports.

“In Baku to strengthen a strategic partnership that for Italy has a concrete and long-term value. With Azerbaijan, we aim to consolidate an already very important cooperation on energy, security, connectivity, investments, and political dialogue, increasingly transforming it into concrete opportunities for our nations," she wrote on X.
She also emphasised that in such complex times as the present, it is essential to hold on to certainties.
"And the relationship between Italy and Azerbaijan is one of them,” she wrote.
Meloni also shared a video highlighting her visit to Baku.
