Power exports to four countries bring Azerbaijan almost $70 million
From January through November last year, Azerbaijan exported close to 494 million kilowatt-hours of electricity to Georgia, according to figures provided by the State Statistics Committee to local media.
Revenue from these supplies reached approximately $28.501 million. Compared with the same period in 2024, the volume of electricity exports to Georgia fell by 2.3 times, a decrease of 643.9 million kWh, while the value of exports declined by twofold, or $29.805 million.
At the same time, during the first 11 months of 2025, Georgia delivered 50.034 million kWh of electricity to Azerbaijan, generating $3.252 million in revenue. Both the physical volume and monetary value of these imports rose by 15.7%, increasing by 6.8 million kWh and $442,000, respectively, compared with the same period a year earlier.
Overall, between January and November 2025, Azerbaijan exported a total of 1.221 billion kWh of electricity to four countries — Russia, Georgia, Iran and Türkiye — earning $69.7 million.
In addition, over the same period, Azerbaijan imported 167.5 million kWh of electricity from Russia, Georgia and Iran, with total imports valued at $7.2 million.
