Pre-election campaigning of candidates for early presidential election starts in Azerbaijan
The period of pre-election campaigning of candidates in early presidential elections has started in Azerbaijan.
The campaign period will be completed on February 6 at 08:00, Caliber.Az reports.
The process of registration of presidential candidates in Azerbaijan ended on January 9.
The Central Election Commission registered 7 candidates for the extraordinary presidential election to be held on February 7:
1. Presidential candidate from the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev;
2. Independent candidate Zahid Oruj;
3. Razi Nurullayev, presidential candidate of the National Front party;
4. Fazil Mustafa, presidential candidate of the Great Order Party;
5. Presidential candidate from the Great Azerbaijan Party Elshad Musayev;
6. Presidential candidate from the Popular Front of Integral Azerbaijan Party Gudrat Hasanguliyev;
7. Independent candidate Fuad Aliyev.
Meanwhile, a number of media structures will participate in the paid election campaign in the extraordinary presidential election in Azerbaijan.
A total of 44 media outlets have applied for participation in the paid election campaign at the presidential election.
Public television, where candidates will be given free airtime, also offers paid campaigning.
