Preliminary investigation of terrorist act against Azerbaijani MP points to Iran Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s statement
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has issued a statement in which it commented on Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Naseer Kanaani’s anti-Azerbaijani statements.
Earlier, Kanaani said that Azerbaijan should explain its "anti-Iranian cooperation" with Israel and spoke negatively about the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tel Aviv, Caliber.Az reports.
“Azerbaijan has never allowed its territory to be used against third countries. On the contrary, Iran has been recently threatening Azerbaijan and has been making provocations. Iranian military exercises along the borders of Azerbaijan, anti-Azerbaijani statements made by Iranian officials, a terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran can be cited as examples,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry also noted that the preliminary results of the investigation of the terrorist act committed against Azerbaijani MP Fazil Mustafa point to Iran.
“Today, the Iranian-Armenian brotherhood remains a threat to the region as a whole. It is well known that Iran did not attach importance to the occupation of Karabakh, East Zangazur and plundering of these territories,” the message said.
