President Aliyev hails active political dialogue between Azerbaijan, Italy

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said that his current visit to Italy was very successful.

“During this visit, I held meetings with the Italian president and prime minister. During these meetings, we discussed many issues related to the close relationship of strategic partnership between our countries,” President Aliyev said in his statement on “Azerbaijan's role in ensuring energy security at the 48th International Cernobbio Forum held in Italy, Caliber.Az reports with reference to Azertag.

While reminding about the official visit of Italian President Sergio Mattarella four years ago, the Azerbaijani president noted that this shows an active political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Italy.

“During our current meetings, we have added new and very important issues to our bilateral agenda. One of them is the education sector. During our meetings, we discussed not only the issues related to energy, economic development, but also the issues related to education,” President Aliyev added.
