President: Devastation similar to Karabakh has not occurred since World War II

Armenia destroyed the cities and districts of Azerbaijan during the 30-year occupation of part of the country's territory. Perhaps, the destruction of cities of this extent has not occurred anywhere else in the world since World War II.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the statement in his video address to the participants of the 11th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11) held in Katowice, Poland, Report says.

"Armenia purposefully destroyed cities and towns, looted all the cultural and religious monuments in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan," President Ilham Aliyev said.
