President Ersin Tatar: Azerbaijan stands firm by Northern Cyprus Announces his visit to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has always stood by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), President Ersin Tatar declared during a meeting with journalists at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025).

Tatar emphasised that President Ilham Aliyev is a leader who fosters strong relations with both Türkiye and Northern Cyprus, Caliber.Az reports via domestic media.

"For this reason, I would like to express my gratitude to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan through the media," he stated.

Tatar also shared that President Aliyev had invited him to visit Azerbaijan, calling it "an important event for the whole world, as well as for us, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), to present ourselves."

Meanwhile, Fikri Ataoğlu, Assistant to the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism of the TRNC, also spoke on the matter, underscoring the importance of Azerbaijan to the TRNC. 

He mentioned that political consultations would take place in Azerbaijan in the coming days, followed by an event aimed at promoting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The event is designed to strengthen exchanges between the two brotherly nations—Azerbaijan and the TRNC.
