Azerbaijan hosts official reception for Guinea-Bissau's president Updated

Official welcome ceremony was held for the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, upon his arrival in Azerbaijan.

A guard of honour was formed in front of the state flags of both countries at the square, Caliber.Az reports.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev greeted his counterpart, with the head of the honour guard reporting to the President of Guinea-Bissau.

The national anthems of both nations were performed, followed by the ceremonial march of the guard in front of the two leaders. Official photographs were taken afterwards.

On February 27, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló has arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan for an official visit.

A guard of honor was lined up for the President at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, which was decorated with the national flags of both countries, Caliber.Az reports

Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, and other officials welcomed President Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
