Presidential advisor: Türkiye-Russia diplomatic bonds remain unshaken
Türkiye’s presidential advisor on foreign policy and security, Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç, has dismissed any claims of a cooling in relations between Türkiye and Russia.
He emphasised in a recent interview that there is no significant change in the diplomatic ties between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports.
When asked about the state of the Türkiye-Russia relations, Kılıç firmly stated, "There is no break in relations."
Türkiye and Russia share historically rich relationship. Throughout the years, the two countries have had periods of both rivalry and collaboration, particularly due to their positions in the region and involvement in global affairs. The two nations signed a series of key agreements, including the construction of the TurkStream gas pipeline and the joint development of military technology, such as the S-400 missile defence system. Additionally, Türkiye and Russia have cooperated on various economic projects and have increased their bilateral trade significantly.
