Putin not scheduled to meet with Pashinyan as Armenian PM joins Eurasian Council talks Kremlin spokesperson says
Russian President Vladimir Putin does not have a meeting scheduled with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on December 13, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
"There are no plans for a separate meeting today; there is work on the prime minister's program," Peskov told journalists, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
Pashinyan arrived in Moscow on the morning of December 13 to attend the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
The Intergovernmental Council consists of the heads of government ministries from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The body oversees the implementation of decisions made by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, monitors the execution of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), issues directives to the Eurasian Economic Commission, and holds other powers.
During the December 13 meeting, the prime ministers of the EAEU member states are expected to discuss further deepening integration. According to the Russian government’s press service, particular focus will be placed on expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, industry, and the development of electronic commerce.
