Romania welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan talks mediated by EU

Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu has said that Romania welcomes the fruitful discussions between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders, which are mediated by President of the European Council Charles Michel, and the outcomes of the negotiations.

Aurescu made the remarks at the 29th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council on December 1, APA reports.

He noted that Romania supports the continuation of diplomatic negotiations through the EU support by the sides to find a comprehensive solution to all outstanding issues.

“Of course, we also support the EU Monitoring Mission, which has recently started in Armenia. Romania is represented in this mission by four experts,” Aurescu said.
