As part of his official visit to Italy, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with President of the Senate of the Italian Republic Ignazio La Russa.
“Had a pleasure to meet with Ignazio La Russa, President of the Italian Senate, on the sidelines of my official visit to Italy,” Caliber.Az quotes Bayramov as saying on X.
The X post states that the sides noted the crucial role of high-level mutual visits and continuous political dialogue in the further development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Italy.
“Stressed that given importance of parliamentary diplomacy, it is extremely important to strengthen cooperation both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international and regional parliamentary platforms,” Bayramov wrote.

Later on the same day, Bayramov was hosted by other Italian officials, during which views were exchanged on multifaceted cooperation.
“Pleased to join Italian counterparts for a constructive and warm working dinner in Rome this evening,” Bayramov wrote on X.
“We exchanged views on the dynamic development of our strategic partnership, including cooperation in energy, economy, connectivity, culture, education, and multilateral platforms. Grateful to our Italian friends for meaningful dialogue,” the minister added.
