Russia declares emergency at Stavropol oil site hit by UAV strike
Authorities in Russia’s Stavropol region have declared a state of emergency at a Rosneft-linked facility after a fire caused by a drone attack, according to a decree issued by the administration of the Shpakovsky municipal district.
“The boundary of the emergency zone of the consequences of the explosion and fire at an industrial facility as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, which occurred on the night of July 8 to July 9, 2026, is defined as the territory of the Vyazniki hamlet of the Shpakovsky municipal district of the Stavropol Territory,” the document said.
The decree added that the damaged facility of JSC “NK Rosneft–Stavropolye,” hit “as a result of the consequences of the explosion and fire” following the UAV attack, is located at 1a Pervomayskaya Street in the Vyazniki hamlet, within the designated emergency zone.
