Russia shoots down over 60 Ukrainian drones
The Russian Defence Ministry has announced that Russia shot down 61 Ukrainian drones within 24 hours.
“Nine ATACMS tactical missile systems made in the US, two Hammer guided bombs made in France, three Alder missiles, as well as 61 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down during the day,” Caliber.Az reports citing the Russian Defence Ministry.
Russia's “Center” group of troops improved the tactical positions, attacked the 23rd, 110th mechanised brigades, 25th airborne brigade, 144th infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 109th defence brigade in Novooleksandrivka, Novopskov, Novhorodske, Kalynove, Vozdvizhenka settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic.
Russia repelled seven counterattacks made by the Ukrainian 24th, 47th mechanised assault groups and 78th air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Up to 350 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, a US-made 155-mm M777 howitzer and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer were destroyed.
Russia's “Vostok” battalion held more advantageous positions, killed the servicemen and destroyed the equipment of the 21st brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 123rd and 102nd brigades in Neskuchne, Velyka Novosilka settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic and Huliaipole settlement of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Some 115 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, two infantry fighting vehicles, six vehicles, and two Czech-made 122-mm Vampire multiple launch rocket systems were also destroyed.
