Russia shoots down two Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft
A spokesman for the Russian Defence Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov has said that the Russian fighter aircraft shot down two Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft in the Donetsk region over the past day.
“Up to 200 servicemen were killed and 19 pieces of weapons and military equipment were destroyed as a result of high-precision strikes on the temporary positions of the 40th artillery brigade and the Kraken unit in Kharkiv city,” TASS reports referring to Konashenkov.
“About 300 military personnel were killed and up to 30 pieces of armoured and special vehicles were destroyed as a result of Russia’s pinpoint strikes on the positions of the Right Sector formations in Artemivsk city of Donetsk region,” he said.
Konashenkov added that a barracks, in which there were more than 70 military personnel, was also destroyed as a result of a strike on the temporary position of the 45th artillery brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Shcherbaki settlement of the Zaporizhzhya region.
“Moreover, up to 70 military and 11 armoured vehicles of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed as a result of artillery fire near Lugovoe and Novoandriivka settlements of Zaporizhzhya region,” the spokesman added.
