Russia tops list of non-oil importers from Azerbaijan in 2025
Between January and July 2025, Russia led the ranking of countries importing non-oil products from Azerbaijan, according to the monthly Export Review published by the Centre for Economic Reform and Communication Analysis, cited by Caliber.Az.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported non-oil goods worth $716.6 million to Russia, marking an 11.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Türkiye came in second place, importing non-oil products valued at $339.7 million, reflecting a 3.9% decrease from last year. Switzerland ranked third, with imports surging to US$186.6 million, more than double the amount from the previous year.
Georgia and Ukraine took fourth and fifth places, with imports of $183.4 million (a 35.4% increase) and $109.9 million (a 1.8-fold increase), respectively.
Looking specifically at July 2025, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports showed continued growth: Russia imported $130.6 million (31.4% increase), Türkiye $52.5 million (12.4% increase), Switzerland $34.3 million (2.1-fold increase), Georgia $28.7 million (32.3% increase), and Ukraine $14.1 million (33% increase).
These figures underline Russia’s leading role as a destination for Azerbaijani non-oil products while highlighting notable growth in trade with several European and regional partners.
