The frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russia continues to maintain troop groupings to cover the state border and conducts active subversive activities in border areas to prevent the redeployment of Ukrainian forces to critical directions.
In the area of responsibility of the Joint Forces Operation "Khortytsia" In the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions, the Russian troops persists in attempts to breach the defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Synkivka, Novooehorivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, and southeast of Dibrova. They also seek to regain control over positions in the areas of Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Kurdiumivka.
To replenish their irrevocable losses, Russia continues to redeploy reserves to the mentioned directions and forms assault groups primarily from among the prisoners. In this way, the Kremlin continues to rid itself of unwanted members of its society.
In the area of responsibility of the Joint Forces Operation "Tavria" on the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, the Defence Forces have the initiative, continue to press Russian troops, conduct assault operations, and inch by inch reclaim Ukrainian land.
Ukrainian defenders successfully hold the defence near Avdiivka and Maryinka, where Russia made over 10 unsuccessful attempts within a day to displace the Ukrainian units from their positions.
“Moreover, all enemy attacks in the areas of Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, and Prechystivka in Donetsk region ended with significant losses for the occupiers, both in terms of personnel and equipment,” the general staff writes.
In the Melitopol direction, the defending forces continue their offensive operation, inflicting significant losses in personnel and equipment on the occupying forces, forcing the Russian troops to retreat from their positions.
In turn, the Russian forces are redeploying the most combat-capable units from the composition of airborne troops to this direction and attempting to regain lost ground. For example, in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Defence Forces repelled more than 10 such attempts.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian army continues to hold the captured positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, engage in counter-battery combat, destroy ammunition depots, and successfully strike at the Russian troops rear areas.
