Russia urges Iran to show restraint towards Israel

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to exercise restraint in response to the death of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh and to refrain from launching attacks on Israeli civilians.

The message was delivered by Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu on August 5 during his meetings with high-ranking Iranian officials, Caliber.Az reports per foreign sources.

The senior officials, whose names were not disclosed, stated that Tehran is pressuring Moscow to acquire Russian-made Su-35 fighter jets.
