Russian air defence forces down seven Ukrainian drones overnight
On the night of October 28 to 29, the Russian air defence forces destroyed seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to a report by the Russian Defence Ministry.
“During the past night during the Kyiv regime's attempt to commit terrorist attacks with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation, seven Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by on-duty air defence means,” the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The ministry notes that two drones were intercepted over the Belgorod region, two more each - over the Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as one over the Black Sea.
Earlier, on October 28, air defence assets destroyed another 10 drones over the Kursk and Bryansk regions.
On the same day, the Defence Ministry reported that Russian air defence forces destroyed 21 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Kursk, Orel, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. The drones were eliminated between 13:00 and 14:30 Moscow time. Later, the agency said that five UAVs were shot down over the Lipetsk region.
