Russian, Azerbaijani envoys to Israel discuss strengthening of bilateral ties

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov and his Russian counterpart Anatoly Viktorov conducted a meeting during which they discussed the prospects for strengthening Russian-Azerbaijani relations.

“During a friendly exchange of views, the heads of diplomatic missions touched upon topical issues of Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in areas of mutual interest. In particular, the expansion of bilateral economic and humanitarian ties, as well as the problems of the Middle East settlement,” the press service of the Russian Embassy said, according to TASS.

During the conversation, Viktorov and Mammadov confirmed "the mutual intention to promote the further development of relations of allied interaction between the two countries," the embassy added. "It was agreed to continue to maintain contacts," the press service concluded.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel was established in November 2022.
