Russian border patrol ship to dock in Baku for security talks
A Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) border patrol ship is scheduled to call at the port of Baku from September 23 to September 25, with its programme including official contacts between the border services of Russia and Azerbaijan.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Russian media that “from September 23 to September 25, the Russian FSB border patrol ship Rasul Gamzatov will arrive at the port of Baku. The visit is carried out in line with approved bilateral cooperation plans. The programme includes meetings and discussions between the border services of Russia and Azerbaijan, focusing on bilateral cooperation, particularly in the Caspian Sea.”
Zakharova added, “The visit of Russian border guards to Baku reflects a shared commitment to continue security cooperation and to strengthen practical collaboration in the Caspian region.”
