Russian drone strikes hit Ukraine's Odesa, five injured PHOTO
During the night of November 21, the Ukrainian port city of Odesa came under attack by Russian drones, leaving five people injured, including a child, officials reported.
The State Emergency Service (SES) and Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, shared updates on Telegram, detailing the impact of the strikes.
“During the night, Odesa came under an enemy attack. Despite the work of air defenses, civilian infrastructure was damaged. Unfortunately, five people were injured, including a child. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance,” Kiper said.
According to the SES, the drone strikes sparked fires in residential buildings, a car service station, and an administrative facility. In addition, private homes and cargo vehicles were damaged. Psychologists from the emergency service provided support to 16 people affected by the attacks, including two children.

The incident in Odesa comes just days after a major escalation in western Ukraine. On November 19, the city of Ternopil was hit by a massive Russian barrage involving 476 drones and 48 missiles. The strikes targeted two residential high-rise buildings, killing around 26 people — including children — and injuring dozens more.
Officials in Ukraine have warned that these attacks also damaged power grid infrastructure across multiple regions, worsening energy shortages at a critical time as the country faces the depths of winter.
