Russian official: Ukraine - bargaining chip in big US game
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has written that Ukraine is "a bargaining chip in the big US game".
He noted on his Telegram channel that elections will be held in the US next month and Ukraine could be used as a tool by presidential hopefuls to win the polls.
“In fact, there is one bargaining chip for the current team of [US President Joe] Biden, as well as for its Republican opponents, the lives of the citizens of mythical Ukraine, which they [Biden’s current team] do not need. They are a bargaining chip in the big US game,” the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council said.
He said that "politicians are also paying for the endless supplies of the US weapons" by exposing Ukrainians to death.
“Our people are also suffering. The only difference is that our people will be avenged,” Medvedev added.
Elections to the US Senate will be held on November 8, 2022.
