Russian spokeswoman: Every country has right to develop military co-op with partners
Russian Foreign Ministry's Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said that every country has the sovereign right to develop military cooperation with its partners.
She mde the remarks while answering the question of the Armenian journalist regarding the appointment of the Turkish colonel-general Bahtiyar Ersay as an adviser to the Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Azertag reports.
Zakharova noted that there are foreign advisers not only in Azerbaijan.
"I see the presence of advisers with the citizenship of other countries not only in Azerbaijan, but also in neighboring states, next to Azerbaijan and Russia. And there are such people in Armenia," the diplomat stressed.
"Every country has the sovereign right to develop military, military-technical cooperation with its partners. But at the same time, we believe that this cooperation should not be directed against third countries and should not disturb the established balance of forces in the South Caucasus," she added.
