Rwanda’s president visits Alley of Honour during official visit to Azerbaijan PHOTO
President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, visited the Alley of Honour in Baku on September 20, paying tribute to some of Azerbaijan’s most prominent figures.
During his visit, President Kagame commemorated the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people and architect of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, by laying a wreath at his grave, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He also honoured the legacy of renowned ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, placing flowers at her grave.
The Rwandan president continued his tribute by visiting the graves of prominent statesman Aziz Aliyev and esteemed doctor Tamerlan Aliyev, laying flowers in their memory.
President Kagame arrived in Azerbaijan on September 19 for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
