Scores of countries, organisations and companies to gather in Baku for energy talks
The 10th Ministerial Meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council and the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council will take place in the capital of Azerbaijan on March 1.
Representatives of 23 countries, 6 international organisations and 44 companies, ministers, deputy ministers and other dignitaries from Azerbaijan and European Union countries will participate in the meeting, Azertag reports.
After the opening session, the meeting will be followed by plenary sessions on "Ministerial Session on Southern Gas Corridor and Green Energy", "Southern Gas Corridor Session: Looking to the Future" and "Green Energy Session in the Context of COP29: Harnessing Renewable Energy Opportunities".
In addition, the 6th Ministerial Meeting and Azerbaijan-European Union Round Table on "Development of Offshore Wind Energy Utilisation" will be held within the framework of the Advisory Council for the Implementation of the "Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Field of Green Energy Development and Transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary".
The event will see the signing of documents in the field of green energy.
A press conference will be held on the results of the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the SGC Advisory Council and the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council, which has been held since February 2015.
