Seoul to host next meeting of Azerbaijani-Korean joint economic commission in May
At the end of May 2023, the third meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Korea will be held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
Report informs, this was noted at the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov with a delegation led by the Deputy of the National Assembly of Korea, Chairman of the Korea-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Suh Byung-soo.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the business forum, which will be held within the framework of the meeting, and the planned bilateral meetings with a number of Korean organizations and technology companies.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the areas of digital transformation, cybersecurity, innovation and transport were discussed.
Mammadov informed the guests about the projects being implemented in Azerbaijan in these areas and noted the existence of wide opportunities for cooperation with Korea in organizing trainings on information technology and cybersecurity.
It was noted that Azerbaijan highly appreciates the support for smart city projects planned jointly with the Republic of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
