Separate Combined Arms Army produces first graduate class in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan VIDEO
The Separate Combined Arms Army of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan has released their first graduation class from their "Commando Basic Course."
The graduates that successfully completed the course took the "Commando Oath" during the ceremony, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
The event began with a moment of silence in honor of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s territorial integrity, Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Separate Combined Arms Army, congratulated the personnel taking the oath and conveyed greetings from the Ministry of Defense leadership.
Emphasizing the importance of such courses in enhancing the professional skills of Azerbaijani servicemen and strengthening the combat capability of military units, he wished the graduates success in their future service.
Certificates were then awarded to the soldiers, and the course’s top graduate affixed the course emblem to a symbolic stump. According to the ministry's website, the Separate General-Army Army was formally established in 2013 and consists of formations and units of various types of troops and honorably defends the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, including the territories bordering Armenian armed forces for more than 275 km by air.
